Three in the morning

When is the next dose allowed?

You are exhausted, your child is burning up, and you are trying to remember whether your partner gave something two hours ago or four. KidGrowth turns that memory into one clock the whole household can see.

  • Log a dose and get a countdown using the interval you chose
  • The other phone updates, so nobody gives a second dose
  • It does not calculate a dose or recommend one: it records what you typed

What size is he in right now?

The size you bought last time is already small, and the sale ends today. Every child's sizes are in your pocket, with the history that shows how fast they are outgrowing them.

The thing that slips

The vaccination nobody reminded you about

Your country's schedule, worked out from each child's date of birth. See what is coming, what is done, and what was missed, without digging through a booklet.

  • Seven countries: Israel, US, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland
  • A reminder in advance, not after the appointment passed
  • Marking a visit is a note to yourself; results stay with the clinic

I had no idea

The things you only see after a year

You record as you go, and the app hands back the bigger picture. No percentiles and no interpretation: just simple arithmetic on what you wrote down yourself.

  • How many fevers there were in the last year
  • How many shoe sizes they went up
  • How many centimetres they have grown since the first measurement

Worth knowing

Maya had a fever 4 times in the last year.

Jonathan went up 3 shoe sizes this year.

Maya has grown 7 cm since her first measurement.

When you are out

The page you leave for the babysitter

Allergies, sizes and an emergency number on one screen. Invite a carer or a grandparent with view-only access: they see exactly what they need and can change nothing.

  • A view-only invite, separate from the co-parent invite
  • A carer can log a dose they gave, so you do not assume it was missed
  • They cannot edit or delete existing records

A short guide to reading a growth curve

The terms on the clinic card and in the app, without the jargon.

What is a growth percentile?

A percentile compares your child with children of the same age and sex on the World Health Organization standards. The 50th percentile means the child is taller than exactly half of them; the 90th means taller than 90 percent. It is a position, not a grade.

What matters more, the number or the direction?

The direction. A child who stays around the same percentile over time is growing at their own pace, even if that percentile is low. A sharp change between measurements is what a pediatrician wants to see, which is why KidGrowth plots every measurement on the curve rather than only the latest one.

How tall will my child be as an adult?

There is a widely used estimate from the parents' heights: for boys, the parents' average plus 6.5 cm; for girls, minus 6.5 cm. It is a reference point with a range of several centimetres either way, not a prediction. The app works it out once both parents' heights are entered.

How often should I measure?

In the first year, at every clinic visit; after that, once every three to six months is enough to see the line. Measuring against the same wall, at the same time of day and without shoes is worth more than measuring often but inconsistently.

Free tools for parents, nothing to install

Three things we took out of the app and put on the web, because they are useful without it.

Height and BMI percentile on the WHO standards, plus an adult height estimate from the parents' heights. All in the browser; nothing is sent.
